When UiPath, a global automation software company, moved into their spacious Vanderbilt Plaza location, they wanted to create a workspace that communicated  their values of dynamism, connectedness, and growth through bold and modern use of technology, and create a place that both inspired and harnessed the innovative and creative ideas of their team.

But they also needed a space that met all their employees’ needs, providing them with the creature comforts of working from home while they collaborated in person with their colleagues. With Nanometer’s help, UiPath was able to actualize these ideas in both a striking focal point for the office and a cozy take on a smart conference room.

The Wall: For an attention-grabbing introduction to the UiPath space, Nanometer created a programmable, color-shifting wall using their NanoFleck Square panels with 6-inch on-center spaced LED nodes in RGBW LEDs with Pixel Controls. Housed under Arktura’s Vapor perforated aluminum panels, the result is a striking, dynamic element that injects energy and interest into the space.

Thanks to the Pixel Controls, the wall can be programmed to display animations in any color to welcome employees and visitors alike or reflect special events and occasions.

The Igloo: Reflecting on the ways to make their workspace more comfortable and reminiscent of working from home, architecture team M Moser created the Igloo, a cozy departure from the typical conference room. The Igloo is secluded but never closed-off, complete with screens and smart boards for multimedia presentations and the inclusion of remote colleagues. The exterior doubles as counter space and seating for those in the main area of the room.

To ensure the inside of the Igloo never felt claustrophobic or dark, Nanometer created a NanoTex Round fixture to fill up the entire ceiling of this cylindrical space with light.

The seamless light of the NanoTex Round fixture emulates the natural light that comes in through the windows, keeping the enclosed area feeling as airy as the larger room. Its atmospheric illumination also cuts down on glare on the screens inside. The NanoTex Round features RGBW LEDs, so the color inside the Igloo can also be customized for special presentations to create an immersive experience.
