Located on the glittering Las Vegas Strip, this combination arcade and restaurant offers a high-octane experience with 87 racing simulators and a full cocktail bar and dining room, as well as private areas and nightlife events. Designer and architect Anamo Studio blended the elements of glamour, high energy, and cutting-edge technology that characterize the arcade’s brand — elements that also feel right at home in the city of Las Vegas — into a unique, immersive environment that combines the fun of an arcade with an upscale experience.

As with the brand’s arcades in other cities, the design is meant to evoke the spirit of its specific location. In Las Vegas, that meant the drama needed to be turned up even more to capture the energy of the Strip and the city’s kaleidoscopic nightlife. To create this sense of immersion into both Las Vegas and the brand, the design leaned into dynamic, reactive, maximalist lighting.

Though multiple lighting installations can be found throughout the space, the centerpiece is the DJ booth. Surrounded by a radiating array of NanoFlex Dual Bend fixtures with RGBW LEDs and Pixel Controls set into custom aluminum channels, the DJ booth becomes a focal point of the room and commands attention even amid the lights and noise of the games, TVs, and other activity.

But the installation does more than demarcate the DJ booth and provide light. With Pixel Controls, the NanoFlex Dual Bend fixtures can feature animations in any color and pattern, and thanks to the ease of NanoControls user interfaces, the DJ can control the lighting in tandem with their music for a multisensory performance, programming colors and animations that fit any theme, style, or event. They can choose from ambient color shifts to energetic, multicolored animations and mind-bending optical effects — nothing is impossible.

The NanoFlex array can also serve as a music visualizer, reacting visually to the beat of the music, increasing the energy of the space during events. It can also sync to other animated lighting installations throughout the space, creating a totally immersive experience and linking multiple sections of the space into one unified event.

And because the installation is in the round, the visualizations and animations can be appreciated by everyone, no matter where they are.

The booth’s 64-button controller was specially designed for this location. It needed to be intuitive and easy to learn by the space’s rotating cast of DJs with minimal to no training. Using the accessible design of all NanoControls user interfaces, Nanometer developed a controller that is easy to understand even for newcomers, ensuring that the display can be customized for any performance or event.
